This web site is designed for the general public as well as participants to become aware of the sport of Harness Racing at county fairs. We hope to be able to update you as soon as possible to any changes as far as dates, times, rain out events or any other important information. The Kentucky Colt Association, also known as Kentucky Fair Racing, has been in existence for several years and we feel it is one of the best fair circuits in existence. In 2008 there were races at nine fairs throughout the state of Kentucky. The races begin in May and end in August. There is also a fair finals at the end of the nine race circuit. There are separate divisions for two and three year old trotters and pacers and separate divisions for fillies and colts at each fair as well as in the finals.

Horses that are eligible for the fair races must have nominated their horses by February 15 and paid a nomination fee of $50.00. A sustaining payment of $200.00 per horse must have been paid by April 15. There is a $50.00 entry fee at each fair for each horse which must be paid before the horse races. The entry fee for the finals is $200.00 each horse.
There are 151 horses eligible for the 2009 county fairs. The breakdown is listed on the eligibility page.
